Description
Day 1 Darwin/Kakadu National Park
Welcome to Darwin and the Top End of Australia! Arrive early to spend time exploring some of the hidden treasures and soak up the cosmopolitan vibe of this northern capital. Perhaps watch the sunset from a harbour cruise, or pull up a deckchair to catch a flick at the outdoor cinema. Then, meet up with the guide and head south towards one of the most famous parks in the world, Kakadu. Hop aboard a crocodile spotting cruise through the park`s wetlands. Be sure to have cameras ready to capture these impressive creatures in their natural habitat. Continue on to appreciate 360-degree views and spectacular rock art at Ubirr Rock before bedding down for the night in a local campsite.
Permanent tents with shared facilities
Day 2 Mt Bundy Station
The morning provides ample time to further explore Kakadu. Head out for a walk through the surrounding sandstone landscape and enjoy a swim in a watering-hole that`s guaranteed to be crocodile free. This national park holds great significance to the Indigenous people of this land - in fact, the word "Kakadu" is derived from one of the languages spoken in the area. After a lunch stop to refuel, travel further south to Pine Creek, a historic gold mining area. Spend the night camping at Mt Bundy Station, the perfect spot to take a moment to savour the serenity of the great Aussie Outback.

Day 3 Litchfield National Park/Darwin
After breakfast make tracks for Litchfield National Park, famous for its scenic beauty, termite mounds and numerous waterfalls that cascade over the sandstone Tabletop Ranges. A visit to Florence Falls, Wangi Falls and the Bluey Rockholes are included stops on this trip. As many of the swimming holes here are safe, bring along a swimsuit to cool off from the heat of the Outback sun. For those who prefer to stay dry, a walk through the beautiful rainforest is highly recommended. Make a pit stop at the tiny township of Batchelor on the way back to Darwin.
