How To get There
From the Suvarnabhumi airport there are three options:
1. The easiest and quickest way to get to Silom Soi 8 is by taking a taxi, taxis are available on the first floor of the terminal. Please ask the driver to turn on the meter, the cost should be around THB 250-300, express way THB 65 and taxi registration fee THB 50. If you are a late arrival, the taxi may refuse to turn on the meter and he may ask for THB 400-500. An Airport Limousine is likely to cost around THB 800-900 per car.
2. Take the Airport Express Bus no. AE1. You have to go down to the first floor and look for the Airport Express Bus Counter. Rate is THB 150 per person, so if two people travelling together take a taxi is more or less the same price. The bus will go to Silom Road, please get off at Silom Soi 6 (in front of Bangkok Christian Hospital). Then walk back to Silom Soi 8.
3. The cheapest way is to take the public bus no. 551 (not airport bus) with local Thai people. The bus departs at Level 2 of the arrival passenger terminal. The cost of the bus is THB 35. As it is public transportation, it provides a limited area for luggage. The bus will take you to Victory Monument, please get off there. Then take the skytrain to Saladaeng station cost around THB 30. Once you get off the skytrain, walk to Silom Soi 8. Bus operating hours from 0600-2000. From the sky train(BTS), get off at Saladaeng station and walk pass Patpong (opposite California Fitness Center) and Bangkok Christian Hospital then look for Silom Soi 8. Walking hours: around 5-10 minutes.
From the underground(MRT), get off at Silom station, silom exit, walk pass Dusit Thani hotel, follow Silom road until you spot Silom Soi 8, on your right hand side. Walking hours: around 10-15 minutes.
From Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit 2): Take bus no. 77 from the bus terminal and get off in front of CP Tower, or take either skytrain at Mochit station and get off at Saladaeng station. Then look for Silom Soi 8.
From Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai): Take bus no. 40 and get off at Hua Lum Pong Train Station, then take underground train and after just 2 stops you will arrive Silom station.
From Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekamai): Simply take skytrain and get off at Saladaeng station.
From Hua Lump Pong Train Station: Easily take underground train and only 2 stops to Silom station.
From Kao Sarn road: Take bus no. 15 on Radchadamnoen road and get off at CP Tower.
