Things To Do

Rimini’s golden beach – a great place to chill out or get active with swimming, canoeing, wind surfing, kite surfing or just relax on a boat cruise and take in the beautiful scenery of the Adriatic coast. Rimini is not just for sun-lovers and socialities. The coast abounds in theme parks.

Italia in Miniatura (www.italianminiatura.com) tel no:(0039) 0541 732004 is a collection (approx 120) of small scale models of important and interesting buildings in Italy - eg The Vatican, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, Venice on a scale of 1:5 and many more.

Aquafan - about 10km south of Rimini. This waterpark has something to suit everyone - slides, swimmings pool with artificial waves etc.

Ravenna - famous for Christian and Byzantine mosiacs that adorn its churches and momuments (8 of which are Unesco World Heritage sites). Its mosiacs described by Dante in his Divine Comedy as a symphony of colour, are matched only by those of Istanbul (Lonely Planet). www.ravennamosaici.it Ravenna - Tomba di Dante. Much of Dante`s Divine Comedy was written here until his death in 1321.

Rimini is famous for its frenetic nightlife – as quoted in the Lonely Planet.

Free walking multilingual guided tours of the historic sites of Rimini - Castel Sismondo also known as the Rocca Malatestiana, Roman remains and the Tempio Malatestiano are all sights within the city centre.

Urbania is famous for its “Chiesa Dei Morti” (church of the dead) as seen on National Geographic.

Urbino is the jewel of Le Marche and one of the best-preserved and most beautiful hill towns in Italy at only one hour drive from Rimini.

Repubblica di San Marino - The world`s oldest republic and Europe’s third smallest state lies 657m above sea level with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and Adriatic coast. It is situated only 10km from Rimini. Legend has it that the founder of San Marino, a stonemason arrived from the island of Arbe in Dalmatia, climbed Mt. Titano to found a small community of Christians, persecuted for their faith by the Emperor Diocletian.

Gradara – a medieval town with a very old castle which has its own story to tell – legend has it that the castle was the scene of the famous and tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca, caught in each other`s arms and killed by Gianciotto, Francesca`s husband. This love story was immortalized by Dante in his Divine Comedy.

San Leo - medieval fortress which in the 18th century was the papal's top security prison. Most famous of all its inmates was Giuseppe Balsamo also known as Count Calliostro.

Organised tours to Rome, Florence, Siena and Venice. Weekly markets - Wednesday and Saturdays. Great bargains to be had.

Skydiving, scubadiving, paragliding and horseriding for the more adventurous. Italian language courses for for foreigners.

How To get There

BY CAR: The motorway A14 Bologna-Bari exit at Rimini Sud, follow directions for the sea (mare) or Rimini centre. Once on the strand road (with the sea in view) head in the direction of Riccione/Cattolica. Shortly you will see a sign 'Rimini Center'. FROM THE TRAIN STATION: Once at the entrance of the train station take a right turn, then walk for 200 meters untill you arrive at a pedestrian tunnel (situated on your right), pass under the tunnel, continue straight ahead, pass the traffic lights (at the skyscraper), then take the 2nd left at Via Spica and immediately after take the 1st right. This is VIA DARDANELLI. We are situated at number 102. By bus: take line N° 11, bus stop N° 8 FROM AIRPORTS: Rimini Airport (Federico Fellini) - take bus no. 9 and ask to be dropped off at Train Station Rimini. We are situated about 5 minutes walk from the Train Station Rimini. The airport is served daily by Ryanair from London Stansted, Frankfurt and many more destinations. On arrival all guests will need to present a document of identification. Pay on arrival for the night of stay. No smoking is permitted. Visa and Mastercard accepted to make bookings (NOT AMEX, electron or switch). If a reservation is cancelled with less than 72 hours notice prior to the arrival date, the amount charged will be equivalent to the total amount of the first night`s reservation. Cancellations or alterations are accepted only via email or fax. Phone cancellations/alterations are not accepted.
