About The Shiralee Backpackers Hostel

We have spacious Dorms/Twins/Singles and Doubles.

Our homely and friendly  hostel has a soul and makes it a very pleasant place to stay. We are centrally located in a quiet street in Northbridge and only a short stroll away  from the entertaining precinct with its restaurants, bars etc.

It is our endeavour to make you feel "AT HOME AWAY FROM HOME".

Things To Do

Why not visit the WA Museum just down the road with its permanent and ever changing exhibitions on international and local culture.

Have a stroll in Kings Park, the lung of our city, where you enjoy sweeping views of the city and the Swan River. Do not miss out on the famous Botanical Garden in Kings Park with its unique exhibits. Picnic areas are dotted throughout the Park and long walks in natural bushland make it a great experience.

The Perth Mint will introduce you to the early mining days of Western Australia and you can see how gold is melted and formed.

Take the Ferry along the Swan River and visit Fremantle and its Markets, the Prison and enjoy Aboriginal Artefacts and the vibrant feel of Perth`s Port City.

Take a trip out to the famous Swan Valley with its well-known wineries.

How To get There

From the airport: BUS. An Airport bus service meets all flights and  will bring you to the doorstep of the hostel, cost is about A$12.  TAXI: The taxi is the  quickest way to get to town. The fare is about A$25-32 and it is a short ride, about  20 minutes.

The Shiralee is centrally located a 10 minute walk north of Perth Train Station. Follow William Street north and turn  RIGHT at Brisbane Street.
