About Hotel Merce

Family hotel located in a typical mediterranean beach village near Barcelona (1 hour by train) and Girona Airport (30 min by car).

The Hotel offers its clients comfort in all its services, with international and regional cuisine elaborated with products selected from our own kitchen-garden. The Hotel also provides an “à la carte” restaurant specializing in fish and shell-fish.

Between 15 June – 15 September our guests can enjoy the beach with several free activities (bikes, canoes, pedal-boats, aerobic, beach-volley, etc.)

Breakfast and meals are served in buffet. Room views are of the old center, the gothic church, the coast, mountains or an inside, nicely decorated quiet “patio”.

Things To Do

Pineda de Mar is a typycal mediterranean beach village off the mass tourist circuit. Between 15 June - 15 September there are plenty of free beach activities for all the hotel guests (rental bikes, canoes, pedal-boats, aerobic, etc.) This is the longest beach of the area and it has a lot of squares and terraces with bars and coffees, where you can have a drink and relax. Moreover it has a busy daily life and a lot of commerce. It is not a place with busy night life. But people who want to go to discos can go clubbing in the next villages, where there’s lots of pubs and discos.

How To get There

FROM BARCELONA BY TRAIN: Take the RENFE "RODALIES LINE" direction MATARO or BLANES and get out in PINEDA DE MAR RAIL STATION. Then walk through the CARRER (street) ESGLESIA for five minutes and you will find the HOTEL MERCE.

FROM GIRONA BY TRAIN: Take the RENFE RODALIES LINE direction BLANES. You will have to make one change in Maçanet Maçannes and then take the train direction Blanes that continues until Pineda de Mar rail station. Then walk through the CARRER (street) ESGLESIA for five minutes and you will find the HOTEL MERCE.

FROM FRANCE BY CAR: Take the exit of LLORET DE MAR / MALGRAT DE MAR in the motorway A7 that comes from PERPIGNAN then take the NACIONALL II direction BARCELONA and do not leave this road until arriving to PINEDA DE MAR. Once you see the gothic tower church which is next to the Petrol station you have to turn to your left side and you will find us behind the church.

FROM BARCELONA BY CAR: Take the RONDA DE DALT OR RONDA LITORAL OR GRAN VIA direction BESOS / MATARO. You have to look for the C32 Direction MATARÓ/GIRONA and then leave the C32 in PINEDA DE MAR exit. Then take the NII dir. Pineda centre and when you see the church turn right.
