About Hostal Numancia

The Hostal is also within easy walking distance of the main museums in Madrid such as the Prado Art Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Reina Sofia Contemporary Art Museum.Hostal Numancia has 9 rooms all recently renovated, clean and comfortable, with sink/wash-basin, heat, hardwood floors and shared bathrooms (1 bathroom for 3 rooms). We have a left-luggage service and daily cleaning service. The Hostal is run by a young couple who speak several languages.There are several car parks near the Hostal so that parking in Madrid will not be a problem.

Things To Do

Hostal Numancia is located in the Madrid old quarters, at the heart of the historic part of the city, just a five minute walk from Puerta del Sol. By walking you can visit interesting places such as the Prado Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Reina Sofia Contemporary Art Museum, the Royal Palace, etc.

The Hostal is also quite close to the Rastro, a flea market (with old and new goods) running on Sundays in numerous streets.

Hostal Numancia has good transport service close at hand: the metro station of Tirso de Molina (Line 1) is just across the street and several bus lines pass by the same street. Atocha Railway station is 10 minutes walk from the Hostal.

The best of Madrid as regards cinemas, theatres, restaurants, bars, pubs (area of Huertas Street and Santa Ana Square), discos, nightclubs, and shopping streets is in the area. You may enjoy the well-known Madrid nightlife without going far from the Hostal.

How To get There

We are less than 10 minutes walk from Atocha train station and 5 minutes walk from Puerta del Sol. Underground Line 1 (blue) and get off at station Tirso de Molina, it is just 20 meters from there.

Getting to the Hostal from the Airport: In the Aeropuerto metro station get the pink line no. 8 towards "Nuevos Ministerios". Get off at the last stop Nuevos Ministerios and get the dark blue line no. 10 towards "Puerta del Sur" and get off in Tribunal (just three stops). In Tribunal get the light blue line no. 1 towards "Valdecarros" and get off at the stop called "Tirso de Molina" (only 3 stops), that is our stop. Get out by the exit "Calle Magdalena", walk straight and on the right of the street at no. 8 you will find the Hostal (5th floor left - there is a lift). It is quite easy, you will see.
