About Urban Retreat Hostel
Urban Retreat Hostel is the place all your snow dreams come true! This is a sociable friendly lodge right up a big Canadian mountain. It’s totally ski-in/ski-out. That bit means you can walk to the back door, strap on your board and go down a run. And then ski right back to the door at lunchtime.
Clean and bright with great common areas and a kitchen that’s plenty big enough for all your supplies and cooking escapades. It’s got internet and laundry facilities. We don’t expect you will want to return to reality, but we know that people sometimes need to.
The lodge is a two minute walk to the village where you can shop, start your ski/snowboard lesson then eat, drink and live it up at night.
The Urban Retreat Hostel offers ideal accommodation if you are looking to work a ski season at a mountain with awesome snow, terrain, nightlife, views, tree-runs...ahhh must we go on? We can hook you up with a dorm shared accommodation and you can work and live with your mates!
Things To Do
There is HEAPS to do at the resort and hostel from skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, shopping, night clubs, sleigh-rides, tubing, ice skating and snowmobiling or head to Kelowna with a group for a night of activities!
How To get There
If you need to get to Big White, the resort offers a daily shuttle and more infomration is available at The Big White Ski Resort Website. You can also take a City Taxi. Costs will range from $100-$150 CAN.
By Car: If driving to Big White, from Kelowna, follow Highway #33 for approximatelty 55 kilometers. Along Highway #33, you will see the sign for Big White Ski Resort. Turn left onto Big White road and follow for 15 kilometers. Our lodge is located just above the main village at 7470 Porcupine Road at the base of the Moguls building.
Terms & Conditions
We do offer a 48 hour cancellation policy. After booking, if you need to change your reservation or cancel for any reason, simply contact us 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid the penalty of one nights stay. Please do keep in mind that all of VIP Backpackers policies also hold.
