About Coffee Palace

Definitely in top three for location and character. You can get to anywhere from our hostel. Just ask at reception and they will send you on your way!! We’re five minutes from St Kilda beach and only a ten minute tram ride to the city. All major events are also within a stones throw away!! If you are after a chilled out, relaxed time then you will find it here. If you are after more of a party, you will also find it here. We cater for everyone!!

Things To Do

There is heaps to do in Melbourne. Plenty of events all year round such as Australian Open, Big Day Out, Comedy Festival, AFL Grand Final, Formula 1 Grand Prix and St Kilda Festival. Visit our beautiful Botanical Gardens, cruise down to the Great Ocean Rd or Phillip Island to see the penguins, or eat out in Brunswick St or Chapel St. You won’t know where to start!!

How To get There

From Spencer St Station you catch the number 96 tram from the corner of Bourke and Spencer St. Get off at the corner of Grey St and Fitzroy St, St Kilda. We’re 50m up Grey St on the left. From Franklin St Bus Terminal walk to Swanston St and catch the number 16 tram to Fitzroy St. Get off at Grey St and you will see our sign 50m up the road. From the airport the best way to the Coffee Palace is to look for the Frankston or Dandenong bus service that drops off at our doorstep. (This option will cost you around $19 but it is the easiest. And less stress!!)
