We are a small hostel hosted by owners and an outstanding staff that gives the best to help you achieve an excellent stay in Mendoza, with the maximum quality of possible attention , a comfortable stay, safe and clean experience. Our property is a charming place where you can chat comfortably, enjoy a movie with friends in the living room, or prepare a typical argentinian bbq on the terrace with a glass of wine. We are located in the historic centre of the city, two blocks from the main avenue San Martin. There you can find the wide path Alameda surrounded by large trees , flower sellers , little bars and restaurants that give it a special atmosphere. In our neighbourhood you can find many shops close by such as supermarkets, banks , and money exchange, all in your hands. We are a few blocks from the Sarmiento pedestrian street , the Plaza Independencia, and the city�s historical museum also known as the area fundacional Our services includes: Buffet breakfast with coffee , milk , juice , tea , bread ,buns, cereal ,homemade jam , butter and dulce de leche. We provide maid service , air conditioning and heaters in all the rooms, terrace with tables, chairs, and a grill to bbq when you want . We have a dvd collection with more than 500 movies available , free internet and wi fi ultra speed ,. We have wines , beers , and cold drinks for sale . We have of course the best attention and touristic recommendations . * We have special promotions for low season, for example in this moment, if you stay 4 or more nights we give you one full day biketour at the wineries area for free!!!! * Any rooms that have been pre-booked must be cancelled before 12 noon the day before otherwise you have to pay the full balance. * Check in at 12pm / Check out at 10am . * The Double Bed private consists of together twin beds. * Double Room Ensuite: The room is with private bathroom not inside but outside the room just for the use of the client of that particular room * We do not accept credit cards , kids under 10 years old (only in private rooms with their parents), pets.

Things To Do

Winery Tour: Guided visit to both small and large wineries in Maipu or Luján de Cuyo districts in which you will be able to get to know some of the wine making secrets and enjoy a tasting.

Villavicencio Tour: You will visit the “Precordillera de los Andes” region where you will see an important cement factory, the Villavicencio mineral water plant, the historical landmark of Canota, and the smut-down Villavicencio hotel.

High Mountains Tour: Famous tour to the "Cordillera de los Andes", internacional route to Chile, visiting: Potrerillos (valle pre-cordillerano), Uspallata valley, historic bridge of Picheuta, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas (begining of Mendoza river), Penitentes (ski center), Puente del Inca, Horcones lagoon (Aconcagua), Las Cuevas, and if the weather and road surface are good we will go to the “Cristo Redentor de los Andes" (4200 mts).

Cordón del Plata Tour: Picturesque and non-conventional tour to the Uco Valley. This circuit includes a visit to the town of Tupungato with a view of the “Cordon del Plata”. You will also visit the Salentein Winery and the Monastery of the “Jesus Obrero” order. When coming back, there is an optional horseback riding circuit on the Precordillera. You will pass through the Uco Valley and then head southward to the San Rafael Oasis. After a short city tour, you will follow the Atuel River until we reach Valle Grande, strange mountain formations of great beauty. Then you will visit the Atuel Canyon, the “El Nihuil” dam to finally head back through Cuesta de los Terneros and “Villa 25 de Mayo”.

How To get There

Lagares Hostel is located downtown in the heart of the old city, close to restaurants, shops and all services. We are a 10 minutes walk from the bus station, two blocks from San Martin Avenue (main street) and a 10 minutes walk from Plaza Independencia (main square).
