About Aussitel Backpackers

Centrally located hostel with friendly, clean, relaxed atmosphere. Located in the heart of the harbour area close to the beaches, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Our fun friendly hostel is the ideal place to relax, make friends and enjoy some great adventure activities. It is family owned and managed with great staff providing you with personal, professional service in a clean, relaxed and friendly environment.

We have a large heated swimming pool, bikes, boogie boards, fishing rods and canoes to explore the creek just opposite the hostel.

Things To Do

Scuba diving (learn to dive packages available), sea kayaking, surf rafting, skydiving, 4W driving, surfing, whitewater rafting, whale watching, horse riding, parasailing, jet skiing, scenic flights, intro flying lesson, indoor rock climbing, deep sea fishing.

Canoeing on the creek, walks to Mutton Bird Island, Botanic Gardens, Coffs Creek Walk, cycling to Sawtell, cinema, ten pin bowling, ice skating, vist the Big Banana.

How To get There

Located at 312 Harbour Drive.

Driving North (from Sydney): approaching the city centre look out for the Police Station on the left. At the lights turn right into Park Ave, you will see Woolworths. At the roundabout turn left, into Gordon Street. At the next roundabout turn right into Harbour Drive. Head straight on for 1.7kms and look out for our big orange fence on the right with the Mobil service station next to it.

Driving South (from Byron Bay): go past Big Banana on right, Park Beach Plaza on your left. Head straight on till you reach the City Centre Mall, you will see Westpac Bank on your left. Turn left at the lights go through the Mall. Continue straight on (this is now Harbour Drive) for 1.7kms look for the big orange fence on the right and the Mobil Service Station next to it.
