About Hótel Edda - Hellissandur

Hotel Edda’s facilities at Hellissandur were opened in 2001, so everything is of the highest standard. Lift, and good wheelchair access to restaurant, WCs and guest rooms. The hotel has a bar/lounge and restaurant. The hotel is three-star, i.e. it is classed as Hotel Edda Plus.

>>> All rooms are double rooms, 21 m² with TV, radio, radio alarm, telephone, hairdryer and private bath. One room is especially equipped for wheelchair access.

>>> Across the road from the hotel are conference facilities for up to 100 people in the Röst community centre. The hotel’s restaurant can also be divided up into smaller units for meetings of 10-30 people.

>>> Sleeping-bag accommodation is offered at the Gimli Guesthouse, ten minutes walk from the hotel. Single, double and triple rooms, without private bath. Each room has a washbasin, and bathrooms are along the corridor. Cooking facilities with refrigerator, cooker, coffee-maker, toaster etc. Lounge with TV. Good parking facilities.

>>> At Ólafsvík is a nine-hole golf course. Edda + golf Indoor swimming pool at Ólafsvík. The closest open-air pool is at Stykkishólmur. Spring-fed spa pool at Lýsuhóll.

In good weather, the room opens out onto a veranda where light refeshments can be served. The menu focuses on seafood: dishes of the day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Coffee and snacks are available in the afternoon.
