About Ringerike Folkehøgskoles Sommerhotell

The Summer Hotel has a homely and cosy atmosphere, with staff providing service at a personal level. We provide accommodation for individuals, couples, families, groups and conferences in the period mid June to mid August.

We can offer 18 double rooms and 3 family rooms. (Family rooms can not be booked online). For conferences we can offer board and lodging for uptil 113 persons. Showers and toilets are in the corridor. All rooms are equipped with pillows and duvets. Breakfast is included.

Things To Do

A short walk brings you to the center of Hønefoss, with a mall, shops, cinema, library and a waterfall in the middle of the town.

A living room with a TV, books and games are available. We can offer outdoor barbeque facilities, a small football lane and a park for recreation. The Summer Hotel has a little kiosk with ice cream and mineral water. Tourist brochures are available in the reception.

We are happy to make a reservation for you, the family rooms are especially popular, and we have many guests in the weekends.

How To get There

The school is central located in the eastern Norway, 300 meters from the center of Hønefoss.

From Oslo E18 (south) to Sandvika, then E16 west to Hønefoss, drive past Hønefoss and then branch off to rv 35, Hokksund. Turn right in the next cross, to Hønefoss. The school is at the right hand side, just after Sissels Grill and transition to a 50km zone. There is a sign by the road.

From Bergen E16 (or Hallingdal rv 7 which connects to E18 just outside Hønefoss) follow signs to Oslo, then follow sign to Hokksund rv 35, and then follow signs to Hønefoss. The school is at the right hand side, just after Sissels Grill and transition to a 50km zone. There is a sign by the road.

From Hokksund/Drammen rv35: When you enter Hønefoss, the school is at the right hand side, just after Sissels Grill and transition to a 50km zone. There is a sign by the road.

From Trondheim and Lillehammer E6: then rv 4 just north of Gjøvik. Follow rv 4 for about an hour, then follow rv35 through Hønefoss and forth Hokksund. The school is at the left hand side, just on the outskirts of the city center, where the road is flattening and the railway is appearing on the right hand side. There is a sign for the school by the road.
