About Koala Beach Resort, Hervey Bay

Koala Beach Resort is ideally located on the Esplanade at Torquay, opposite the beach. Offering travellers the opportunity to experience Fraser Island from one perfect location. The resort has ambience created by the lush, tropical gardens surrounding a large in ground swimming pool and bar. In conjunction with accommodation and superior resort facilities, a specialised 3 day / 2 night camping safari is managed onsite, departing for Fraser Island daily.

Clean and comfortable accommodation set amongst a relaxing and tropical setting, right across from the beach. An unforgettable 3 day 2 night self drive Fraser Island safari departing daily. With a huge swimming pool, tour desk, party bar and bistro there is always something to do!

How To get There

Coach Travellers: Courtesy transfer will be provided from the coach terminal in Hervey Bay to the hostel.

Self Drive Travellers: Southbound drivers exit Highway 1 at Torbanlea turnoff, follow signs through to Hervey Bay. Northbound drivers exit Highway 1 at Maryborough and follow signs through to Hervey Bay. You will drive into Hervey Bay on Boat Harbour Drive. Continue along this road through 2 sets of traffic lights, at the 3rd set, take a left hand turn and follow this road (Bideford Street) to the end. Take a left turn at the intersection and Koala Beach Resort will be approx. 500 metres on the left.

Airport: Call for a Taxi (131 008) and ask for Koala Beach Resort, Torquay.

Terms & Conditions

Guests going on the Koala Self Drive to Fraser Island must arrive before the 3pm briefing the day before departure. Accommodation is non refundable. Prepaid travel and accommodation vouchers must be presented upon arrival.

Guests are reminded of the provision and limitation of Inkeepers Liability 1968. Management do not accept responsibility for loss or damage to belongings.

Koala Beach Resort is an 18+ faciltiy with a licensed area. All regulations and limitations of the Liquor Act apply.
