About Trekkers Backpackers Resort
Our converted Queenslander home exudes character and charm. We are situated just outside the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise, but we have a Free shuttle bus all day long. Come in, drop your backpack and relax. Your comfort and enjoyment is our priority. We pride ourselves in providing the best service from our friendly staff. We're smaller and that makes our service more personal.
Loads of free stuff - Free breakfast, free tea & coffee all day, free Boogie Boards. You'll love the tropical pool set in our garden oasis, and a wonderful atmosphere make this a very special place to stay. All our rooms have their own duvets, fan and character. We have 24 internet and Wireless available. We have a fully equipped commercial kitchen and an amazing new BBQ area. Lounge around, watch DVDs or play pool. We can book all your tours and theme parks at discounted prices. Please ask our friendly experienced staff.

We are close to all the theme parks (Sea World, Dreamworld, Wet N Wild, Movie World, Outback Spectacular).
Adrenalin Junkie? - you're options are endless from Parachuting, Ballooning, Tiger moth flights, bungy jumping, kayaking, surfing, jet boating.
Love the surroundings? - Discover the hinterland, frolic in the surf, sunbathe on the endless beautiful pristine beaches.
Want some nightlife? We go out to the clubs of Surfers Paradise 7 nights a week and organise an exclusive backpacker only club crawl twice a week including free entry and free drinks in the top clubs. It's loads of fun. If you need help planning the rest of your trip, please ask, as we are passionate about travel and have loads of experience. We'll get you the best deals.
How To get There
From Surfers Paradise Transit Centre: We will pick you up in our shuttle bus. Just call us from the Transit Centre for our free pick up.
From Brisbane International Airport to Trekkers: 1. Get the train directly from the Airport to Helensvale Station on the Gold Coast. 2. Get a Surfside Bus (Yellow local buses) – the 709 or 715- to Southport.
3. Get off at Australia Fair Shopping Centre OR at the Owen’s Lane stop on Scarborough Street). Trekkers is a short walk from both these stops.
From Coolangatta Airport to Trekkers:
1. Catch the 700 bus to the Surfers Paradise Transit Centre and then call from the Backpackers Desk and we will pick you up.
2. You can also get the Gold Coast Shuttle bus (big orange buses) which is a door to door service directly to Trekkers for under $20.
