Cleanliness:We are committed to being the cleanest hostel in Christchurch. Our housekeeping team are permanent and professional staff who care about what they do. All dorms and ensuite bathrooms are cleaned daily and beds made with fresh linen.

Safety: Reception is staffed 24 hours per day. All rooms have security card access keys. All beds have their own lockable luggage locker and safe’s are available to hire. Exclusive to Base is ‘The Sanctuary’ – an innovative & luxurious ‘girls only’ floor with high quality facilities, safety and home comforts Fun. Our staff are young, helpful and friendly, as well as knowledgeable on what to do in and around Christchurch. How To get There

City Flyer Bus

This departs from outside the International Arrivals Terminal. Operation times are 6:35 to 23:35 Monday to Friday, and 8:05 to 23:05 Saturday and Sunday. It arrives in Cathedral Square approx 150m from the hostel. The cost is NZD $7 per person.

Shuttle buses

Are parked at the front of the arrivals terminal. The cost is NZD $14 per person and will drop you at the door.

Taxis

Are parked at the front of the arrivals terminal. The cost ranges between NZD $25 and $35.
