About Bellavista Hostel

The Bellavista Hostel is centrally located on the East side of Barrio Bellavista, the famous bohemian quarter of town and one of Santiago´s main highlights. Although the hostel block is quiet (consists mostly of atmospheric restaurants), you will find many services on Pio Nono street (one block away), such as a pharmacy, fast food, mini-markets, bottle shops, handicrafts and ATMs. The neighborhood is also famous for its many bars, nightclubs (from salsa to DJs) and places to listen to live music. All major sites of interest are walking distance.

All the dorm rooms in our cosy hostel have high ceilings, hard wood floors and access to balconies. All our beds are equipped with a spring mattress and a backpack sized locker (bring your own padlock!). Fresh linen, blankets and duvets are provided for the duration of your stay free of charge.

You will also find a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, satellite TV, computers with free unlimited broadband internet access and CD burners. We even have bicycles you can use for free!

Things To Do

The hostel offers its guestx the highest hostelling standards: besides the usual amenities like free internet, bed linen and breakfast, we also pride ourselves on offering our guests safety and comfort (spring mattresses and beautiful common areas). Our guests also get an excellent location; walking distance from Plaza Italia (Santiago´s Times Square), the subway and most points of interest.

How To get There

If you are flying into Santiago, send us your flight details and we can arrange an inexpensive (US$7) door to door airport pickup service. Bellavista Hostel is located in the street Dardignac 0184 - Santiago Chile. To find the hostel take the red line metro (subway) up to Baquedano Station. This metro station is located in “Plaza Italia”. From there walk three blocks towards “Cerro San Cristóbal” (a big hill you will easily spot) crossing the Pio Nono Bridge. You will reach the street Dardignac. From here turn right and walk one block and a half and you will find the hostel. You can also take any bus on a main avenue to “Plaza Italia” (80% of the buses pass by Plaza Italia) and follow the same direction above.
