www.tequilahostel.com Tequila Hostel in Guadalajara with the best location in town, is right in the heart of the town, only 10 minutes away from our turistic icon "La Minerva", 5 blocks away from the beautiful Chapultepec Avenue and 5 minutes away from downtown. Within a stone\'s throw you\'ll find many funky clubs, music bars, restaurants, shops and coffes. Tequila hostel is located on Hidalgo Avenue #1106, one of the most important avenues in Guadalajara, and it is as well the main entrance to downtown. We offer a wide range of rooms: single and double bed rooms, 6 and 8 bed rooms. Most rooms are equipped with bunk beds, and each guest receives their own locker and access keys. The bathrooms and toilets are of a very high standard, just like what you would expect in a hotel. In our common room you\'ll find a good atmosphere to chat with other travelers or relax on the sofa. It\'s a great place to have a nice breakfast before going sightseeing, or to have a cold beer before and after exploring Guadalajara\'s night live. (You must know that Guadalajara is a place that never sleeps). Our friendly staff will try to make you feel great in our hostel and will provide you with the latest news on what is currently happening and worth seeing in Guadalajara. On the ground floor of the Hostel you\'ll find a great restaurant which will offers International & traditional Mexico cuisine at very good prices. As well on the ground floor you will find our friendly pool bar where you can enjoy our best Mexico Tequilas. Tequila hostel combines Guadalajara\'s heart-pounding excitement with hospitality and service that\'s second to none.

Things To Do

It would be a waste just to sleep at the Hostel! Tequila Hostel offers a great place to socialize, make new friends and to swap travel stories and tips. We want to create a fun and unique atmosphere at the Lodge where guests feel at home and can create memories to carry away with them wherever they are going onto next. A large lounge is located on the ground floor with a LCD or plasma TV equipped with satellital TV. The restaurant and bar are also equipped with similar TVs offering plenty of space to relax and chill out with friends. Free Internet terminals and WiFi access are located in the reception and lounge area so that you can catch up with friends or plan the next stage of your trip. We have a Xbox 360 and a Wii Nintendo for guest use at no charge so you can challenge people and make new friends or we have a ping pong table as well. A big laundry is located on the 2nd floor so that you can do your washing and for a small charge we can do it for you, whilst you enjoy the other facilities. We will also have our very own Tequila Bar serving cheap drinks and cocktails listening funky music all night or you can enjoy the happy hour at 6:00pm in our pool bar. We want all our guests to make the most out of their experience in Guadalajara which is why we also organize parties and Games for everyone to enjoy.

How To get There

Av. Hidalgo #1160 Col. Centro C.P. 44200 Between Av. Nicolás Romero (Robles Gil) and Guilardi From roundabout La Minerva by bus: Take any bus in Hidalgo Avenue, get down on Nicolas Romero and you will be already at the entrance of the hostel, It is 6 blocks after Chapultepec Avenue. From Airport by bus: Take bus 176-C and get down on Av. Juarez, walk 2 blocks to the right and in Av. Morelos take bus 629, get down on Nicolas Romero Street 3 blocks after Av. Enrique Diaz de León, once you are down the bus just walk to your right 1 block and you will find Hidalgo Avenue, now you raise your view and find the world flags and you will be already at the hostel. (bus 176-C from airport to Av. Juarez can take around 80 minutes, you can take the bus every 16 minutes at the airport, the first departure it's at 5:00am and the last one it's at 8:44pm.) by taxi: Certainly the best and the quickest way to get to the hostel from the airport, the journey will take around 30 minutes and will cost you around $200 Mexican pesos. (Make sure to take a certified taxi) From Downtown by bus: From Av. Morelos take bus 629, get down on Nicolas Romero Street 3 blocks after Av. Enrique Diaz de León, once you are down the bus just walk to your right 1 block and you will find Hidalgo Avenue, now you raise your view and find the world flags and you will be already at the hostel. by calandria: If you are in downtown and want to get to the hostel, you can get benefit from using a calandria (calandria it is a touristic vehicule motorize by horses, and the driver always will put a smile in your face with his Guadalajara histories and legends). Just give them the address and will take you to the hostel. The journey will cost you between $150 and $200 pesos for the whole calandria when it has a capacity for 6 people and you will get a unique touristic journey.

Terms & Conditions

1. Arrivals and Departures New arrivals can check into their rooms after 2pm each day. Guests may arrive earlier and leave their luggage at the hostel but access to rooms will not be granted until after 2pm. Departing guests must remove all their belongings from their room, and check out, before 11am. After this time guests may make use of the luggage storage facilities but all possessions must be removed from the room and the security card handed back to reception. 2. Check In You do not have to be a member of any organisation to stay at Tequila Hostel Backpackers however we do require that some form of valid photo identification is presented upon check in, preferably a Passport, I.D. card or driving license. 3. Check Out Check out is at 12am and guests must hand all security keys back to reception. 4. Age Restriction Bookings cannot be accepted from any person under the age of 18 unless they are accompanied by an adult (over 18). Unlike some hostels we do not have an upper age limit. Most of our guests are backpackers in the 18 to 30 age range. Please be aware that you may be assigned a top bunk! 5. Guest Behaviour The comfort, safety and security of our guests is of paramount importance to Tequila Hostel Backpackers. Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be requested to leave the hostel premises and will not be offered a refund. Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, local residents and property. In the case of groups, the group leaders must ensure that all members of their group behave in an acceptable manor. Failure of any individual group member to do so will result in the expulsion of the whole group. 6. Smoking We do have Smoking and Non-smoking areas within the Tequila Hostel Backpackers premises. Any guest found smoking within the Non-smoking areas will be asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be offered a refund. A smoking area and ashtrays are provided in the building for guests who wish to smoke. 7. Personal Property Guests may use secure lockers (located next to each bed), the luggage store (located in a secure room) however it remains the guest\'s responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times. Tequila Hostel Backpackers accepts no liability for the loss, theft or damage to property however sustained or caused. Please bring a padlock to use with your under bed locker. 8. Tequila Hostel Backpackers Property Guests will be expected to reimburse Tequila Hostel Backpackers for any damages caused by inappropriate behaviour during their stay at Tequila Hostel. 9. Security Keys Upon check in guests will receive a security keys for access to their room and locker. These keys are given for the period of stay only and must be handed back to reception on check out. Failure to return the keys will result in a $100.00 MEX each charge which may be charged against the customer's credit card. 10. Liability Except in relation to death or personal injury caused by our negligence Tequila Hostel Backpackers liability remains, at all times, limited to the value of the services booked, excluding any amendment charges paid to us. 11. Your Information Tequila Hostel Backpackers shall only store and use information you supply to us or which is supplied to us for the purposes of carrying out our contract with you and to inform you of other services and offers which we make available from time to time. Errors and Omissions Any omission or error in sales literature, web pages or site, order form, quotation, price list, order acknowledgement, despatch note, invoice or other document issued by us may be corrected by us without liability. We will advise you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as is reasonably possible thereafter. 13. Discretion All bookings are subject to availability and Tequila Hostel Backpackers reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion. 14. No Show: If you have not notified Tequila Hostel Backpackers of a cancellation at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival date. Tequila Hostel Backpackeres reserves the right to charge your credit card the total for your first nights stay. 15. Late departure: In the case of a late departure, Tequila Hostel Backpackers reserves the right to charge for a further nights stay at the appropriate rack rate of the bed(s). Management discretion will apply.
