About The Old Swan Barracks, Perth

Welcome to Perth´s most unique Backpackers Hostel. Situated in the heart of Perth, in the Northbridge entertainment area and a couple of minutes away from the rail and bus terminals, The Old Swan Barracks offers quality accomodation and fantastic facilities at very affordable prices.

Completely renovated in 2008 and operating under new management, a stay at the Barracks provides you with the best that Perth has to offer for the budget backpacker.

A wide variety of accommodation is on offer from 12 bed dorms to private rooms. The Barracks Bar provides a unique social area in our Great Hall and we hope that you will join us for a friendly game of pool or sit around our illuminated whisky barrels and enjoy superb cold draught beer and a wide variety of Australian wines and beverages.

A large team of friendly staff are on hand to give advice and help and do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. Enquiries are most welcome however we do suggest booking early to avoid disappointment.

How To get There

The Old Swan Barracks, Perth`s Best Value Backpackers Accommodation, is situated just a one minute walk from the Perth train station and bus station and right next door to the bars and cafes of Northbridge (Perth’s nightlife district). The shopping malls of Hay Street and Murray Street are just a 3 minute walk away.
