About Port Campbell Hostel
Large, comfortable and spacious with all modern facilities, Port Campbell Hostel is everything you would expect from a world class travel destination.
Surrounded by Port Campbell National Park and The Great Ocean Road, this spectacular cray fishing village offers a huge range of outdoor activities to visitors of all ages.
Port Campbell is the closest accommodation to the famous Twelve Apostles rock formations, but the region offers so much more. Scenic drives and walks surround the town, while the local charter services provide access to some of the best fishing and scuba diving in Victoria. Also known as the Shipwreck Coast, the truly adventurous can dive some of the 15 wrecks known along this coast.
Port Campbell Hostel has some of the world's best surf surrounding it. There is a fun wave in town for all levels. Advanced surfers have plenty of challenging surf as well. You may even see some pro-surfers passing through town.
Things To Do
Port Campbell has a huge range of outdoor adventure activities for all ages, from the serene to the daredevil!
• Twelve Apostles, The Arch and Loch Ard Gorge. No visit to this region is complete without viewing these spectacular structures formed from soft limestone by the surging sea. Charter flights available.
• Dive the Shipwreck Coast. Nine notable shipwrecks can be accessed by boat and shore dives in the pristine Port Campbell marine sanctuaries. Local wildlife include crayfish, sponges, wrasse, wobbegongs, starfish and blue devil fish.
• Surfing. Port Campbell is internationally renowned for its quality surfing. The region offers a perfect enclosed bay for novice surfers, or a wide variety of beaches for the more experienced, and some that are just wild! Two surfing shops and a Surf Lifesaving Club service the town.
• Nature Walks. Scenic Lookouts surround the town, with signposted walks ranging from 500m to 5km. The Discovery Trail will bring you in contact with some of the 100 bird species identified in this area.
How To get There
Go through the roundabout, past the visitor information centre. We are 25m after the bend on you left hand side just before you get to the beach at 18 Tregea street.
