About Camping Internazionale Assisi

Camping Village Assisi is immersed in the green nature of Umbria and has a wonderful view of the city. From the basilica of San Francesco to the majesty of Rocca Maggiore the tourist can admire the colours of the sandstone in its different shades of white and pink. Art, religion, nature and history meet in Assisi, the peace capital of the world, which UNESCO has declared patrimony of the humanity. The camping is easily reachable, located only two km from the railway station and close to the road which connects the lowland with the hill. It comprises of large and shady camping sites, bungalows with kitchen, fully equipped mobile homes, small and large tents with beds.

Things To Do

Assisi is an important spiritual, artistic and touristy town. Saint Francis basilica is the masterpiece of the city. There are medieval gothic buildings with frescoes of Giotto, Cimabue, Simone Martini and other important artists from the XIV century. The natural park of Mount Subasio is a beautiful excursion. Porziuncola and Santa Maria degli Angeli basilica and Carceri hermitage are other important spiritual places for Christianity. From Camping Village Assisi you can with easily reach other places in the region: Perugia, Gubbio, Spello, Spoleto, Trevi, Todi, Orvieto.

How To get There

Turn left and follow the road. After 200 metres turn right (you’ll have Mc Donald’s on your right side). After 50 metres turn left and follow CAMPING indications. GPS: NORD – 43° 04 ’ 32.8 ” EAST/OVEST 12° 34 ‘ 25.6 “

Coming from the highway A1 Rome: Exit Orte, follow direction Perugia route E45. Arrive in Ponte S. Giovanni and follow for Km. 3 then exit on route SS75 direction Foligno, after 400 metres take the 1st exit OSPEDALICCHIO AEROPORTO. Go straight on for about seven km on the SS 147 direction Assisi. After the second traffic light you’ll see the camping on the right side.
