Escape Artfest 2012

A 16-day celebration of artistic talent in the southern Shoalhaven district. Escape Artfest showcases artists of all media at more than 40 fabulous venues and events. Escape to the coast and enjoy! Royal Coastal Patrol Markets Ulladulla

The Royal Coastal Patrol Markets are set around the beautiful Ulladulla harbour. This large monthly market is a fundraiser for the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol base and is held on the second Sunday of each month. There are often more than 100 stalls at the colourful event which is the division's most important fund-raising effort. Many of the traders are regulars who have been attending the markets for many years. Others are casual venders who make seasonal visits. Lots for all the family including food, entertainment, arts and crafts and clothing. The Coastal Patrol markets have it all!

Southern Shoalhaven Timber Festival

The Southern Shoalhaven Timber Festival will highlight the history of the timber industry and its value past and present. Festival goers will get to view some of the important parts of the timber history of the Southern Shoalhaven. Demonstrations include cutting, shaving, splitting, fence posts, rails and drilling. Displays and stalls include fine art, functional pieces, sculpture and furniture Exhibitions include historic information of the timber industry, past and present.

Ulladulla Blessing Of The Fleet Festival

Fishing is a very important element of Ulladulla's economy and the Blessing of the Fleet is an honoured tradition kept alive by the area's descendants of the original Italian fishing community and by the proud town in general. There are a myriad of colourful and exciting events held throughout the Festival over the Easter weekend and beyond, including the Blessing of the Fleet main street parade and day of entertainment on Easter Sunday. The most significant element will be the actual Blessing of the Fleet, on the morning of Easter Sunday. The festivities will conclude with a magnificent fireworks display over Ulladulla Harbour on Easter Sunday. There is also the Harbour Markets on Easter Monday.
