The Reef Navigator Windsurfing Races

Reef Navigator Pty Ltd presents the Reef Navigator Windsurfing Races. A lead-up event will be held to celebrate the arrival of their Winter sailing season, and promote the 2012 calendar of racing events. (During this lead-up event, participants are invited to use their own equipment). Held on beautiful Four Mile Beach Port Douglas, during the Winter months, the Adventures in Windsurfing Race Series includes a combination of speed sailing, slalom course racing, long distance races, and Windsurfer versus surfer team challenges. These races are open to sailors from the ages of 20 from overseas, interstate and locally. Because of the distance from regional centres, they have chosen to run with a fleet format. Providing the equipment for entrants during the races, which allows the number of participants to grow, while maintaining manageable numbers of craft on the water.

The Solar Eclipse Marathon

Welcome to the Solar Eclipse Marathon! In November 2012, you have the chance to take part in one of the most unique sporting events the world has ever seen: The Solar Eclipse Marathon! In the sky over Port Douglas, north of Cairns in Queensland, Australia, a total solar eclipse will occur on the morning of November 14, 2012. As the first rays of the sun re-emerges from behind the moon, the Marathon will start on the beautiful Four-Mile Beach.
