Chasing the Sun Golf Festival

The Chasing the Sun Golf Festival commences with a week of fun, sightseeing and golf as you drive along one of Australia’s great roads, The Eyre Highway. It all starts with a champagne breakfast on the foreshore at Ceduna, to watch the sun rise. During the eight day festival you will play at Nullarbor Links the world’s longest golf course. Attempt a AUD10,000 hole in one at Madura and witness an indigenous dance display in Norseman. Finally on Saturday, 6 October 2012, watch the sun set at Kalgoorlie’s magnificent new golf course. For the second year running the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Multicultural Festival has lots of fun for the family including; food from around the world, stalls, workshops, performances, hand waver flag giveaways, face painting, jumping castle and multicultural games. WA Operas simulcast of Opera in the Park, supported by Lotterywest - Kalgoorlie

With the generous support of Lotterywest, for the third year West Australian Opera is sending a live screen simulcast of City of Perth's Opera in the Park to regional centres. ‘The Pearlfishers’ by Georges Bizet will be presented in Supreme Court Gardens, Perth and the event will be simulcast in real time onto a live screen at the Goldfields Arts Centre in Kalgoorlie. The opera will star Henry Choo and Western Australia’s own stunning Katja Webb. Featuring the West Australian Symphony Orchestra conducted by Brian Castles-Onion and director Stuart Maunder.
