The Hervey Bay Game Fishing Classic is the annual premium fishing tournament held in Hervey Bay, Queensland. The Fishing Classic event is open to all club members that are affiliated with the QGFA or GFAA. Located in picturesque Hervey Bay the four day event attracts top game fishing anglers nationwide.

Hervey Bay Triathlon

The Hervey Bay Triathlon is an Olympic Distance Tri, comprising a one and a half kilometre swim, a 40 kilometre cycle and a 10 kilometre run. It is open to both individuals and team entrants. Staged annually in the idyllic surrounds of Hervey Bay with its calm waters and easy terrain this event is a safe, fast and fun triathlon suitable for both the first timer and the seasoned athlete.

Hervey Bay Whale Festival

The Hervey Bay Whale Festival is an iconic annual event celebrating Hervey Bay's unique "Up Close and Personal" whale watch season. The festival is a dynamic celebration of their coastal community and the unbreakable link between humans and our natural environment. Families and the young at heart can enjoy a day program featuring an eco-expo, a kids recycle factory activity area, workshops, roving entertainment, rides and food and beverage stalls. Enjoy the spectacle of the Illuminated Street Parade, featuring dazzling floats created by community organisations encompassing the Whale Festival's key "green" and "marine" theme. The evening concludes with a Live Whale Aid concert featuring a line-up of talented Australian musicians with a focus on raising funds for whale conservation. Food and beverage stalls and a concluding fireworks display complete the celebrations.
