Ancient Rome: Explore the Empire that Shaped the World

The world premiere of the award-winning exhibition Ancient Rome: Explore the Empire that Shaped the World has come to Melbourne.   Ancient Rome features more than fifty authentic hand-crafted and interactive exhibits exploring an epic era in world history.   Covering the key themes of Military Genius, Logistics and Measurement, Civil Technology, Culture and the Arts, and the Colosseum and Gladiators, the exhibition provides a fascinating look at an era of massive construction and large scale technical innovation. The exhibition is located in the large white tent at Waterfront City Piazza, Docklands Drive, Docklands, opposite the Harbour Town Shopping Centre. Open daily from 9.30am to 5pm, and until 8pm on Fridays. On Friday evenings, a free 40-minute guided tour at 6.30pm is available for visitors, providing an even more insightful experience. The month long tour will see Joe visiting Sydney, the Gold Coast, New Zealand and Melbourne. The Through the Lens Tour program will include keynote talks, seminars and exclusive workshops with one-on-one time with Joe McNally. Qantas Wallabies v Wales

2012 sees the return of the traditional June Test Series, with the Qantas Wallabies hosting Wales in a three test series. Now the undisputed kings of the Northern Hemisphere the Welsh have shown they aren't to be taken lightly defeating England, Ireland, Scotland, France and Italy on their way to claiming a Grand Slam and the Six Nations crown. The first Test of the Castrol Edge Wales Tour will be held at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Saturday 9 June before heading to Etihad Stadium in Melbourne for the second Test on Saturday 16 June followed by the final Test at Allianz Stadium on the afternoon of Saturday 23 June.

Skate Date Night

Every Thursday night at Medibank Icehouse is Date Night. With music, dancing and kiss cam it is the way to impress the most discerning date! Kicking off at 7pm with a free skating lesson, you can then take part in the free dancing on ice lesson at 8pm. If you need a break from skating you can always head up to the St Moritz bar and enjoy the fully licensed bar and food offerings.

Western Bulldogs - Season 2012

With a new coach, a new jumper and some exciting new players, the Western Bulldogs are looking to bounce back in season 2012 and reclaim their spot as one of the best teams in the AFL. With the regular stars such as Matthew Boyd (5), Adam Cooney (17), Ryan Griffen (16), Daniel Cross (4), Brian Lake (36) and Robert Murphy (2) back for another season, the side has been improved with the inclusion of exciting young players such as Luke Dahlhaus (40), Clay Smith (14), Tom Liberatore (21) and Mitch Wallis (3). The Western Bulldogs play ten home games at Etihad Stadium in 2012 including marquee match-ups against St. Kilda (round 3), Collingwood (round 6), Geelong (round 9), Hawthorn (round 16) and Carlton (round 17). Etihad Stadium is a great place to watch football and with a new coaching direction, the Bulldogs will be playing a fast and entertaining brand of football. Make sure you get along to cheer on the Doggies and enjoy Australia's national game. With plenty of hotels, bars and restaurants around Etihad Stadium, a day at the football is the perfect way to spend a day with friends and family. Take the train to Southern Cross Station and it is a short and convenient walk to the stadium.
