Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge
Rotary Coffs City is holding the bcu Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge. The Event is a ride of 100 kilometres starting and finishing at the Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshores. The 2011 Challenge, will have eight different categories to enter suiting all cyclists.
Eight Levels of Entry:
100 kilometre solo cyclists male.
100 kilometre solo cyclists female.
100 kilometre team event, (unisex), with two, three or four cyclists all cycling the 100 kilometres.
100 kilometre relay event, (groups of two or three).
100 kilometre Tandem and Recumbent Bikes, (unisex).
60 kilometre solo cyclists male.
60 kilometre solo cyclists female.
Family Ride.
Early bird discounts are available for entry and merchandise.
Coffs Coast Growers Market
The Coffs Coast Growers Market offers a variety of fresh local produce and assists in the preservation of the local Coffs Harbour agricultural industry.
The Growers' Markets offer a direct link between the producer and the consumer, providing a healthy cut-price alternative where the consumer can learn more about the products they are purchasing direct from the grower or a grower's representative.
The Coffs Coast Growers' Market provides the freshest in local and regional produce plus a growing range of organic produce. Regular items for sale include: fruit and vegetables, flowers, plants and herbs, olives, cakes, honey, nuts, flowers, oils, eggs, wood-fired breads, wild seafood, meats and gourmet sausages.
Located in the Coffs mall area every Thursday.
Coffs Harbour International Buskers and Comedy Festival
The International Buskers and Comedy Festival involves more than 120 shows in 15 different venues over nine days. Shows include family entertainment in the streets of Coffs Harbour and in the surrounding villages including Sawtell and Woolgoolga, evening shows in the North Coast Botanic Gardens and adult shows in local pubs and clubs. Entertainment includes artists from across the globe, including a strong Australian and local contingent, in Australia’s largest gathering of professional buskers.
Crab Racing
The Crab Racing is a great event for a Sunday afternoon. Bring the whole family, bid on your favourite crab and then cheer it on. Every Sunday at the Hoey Moey from 12pm.
Loads of fun for the whole family. Plenty of great prizes to be won from bistro vouchers to bottle shop vouchers. Proudly supporting the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service.
FFA National Youth Championships
Hosted by Northern NSW Football, the FFA National Youth Championships for both boys and girls, are national tournaments with teams from all member State Federations of FFA competing against one another to reign as National Champions.
The Championships are an integral part of the FFA national youth development and identification process providing a showcase for the best 13 and 14 year old boys and 14 and 15 year old girls from all states.
The National Youth Championhships for boys will be held from 3rd October to 7th October 2011 with the next National Youth Championships for girls set to be held from the 7th July 2012.
RedAss NSW ACT Downhill State Series Rd 2
The second round of the RedAss NSW/ACT Downhill State Series will take you to the Far North Coast and the brilliant tracks at Coffs Harbour.
With more than 300 expected participants, NSW and ACT downhillers are already getting ready for a race-off with the Queenslanders - this is going to be an epic event.
Entry for spectators is free.
Small Farms and Sustainable Living Expo
The Coffs Harbour Small Farms and Sustainable Living Expo is an annual event showcasing all aspects of sustainable living and an array of small farm products and services.
The Expo aims to promote and support the change toward sustainable living by increasing awareness and enthusiasm for environmentally sustainable ideas, products and services, emphasising those which are practical for and available to individuals and businesses.
The Expo will provide a regular forum for businesses to showcase innovative farm and environmentally sustainable housing design and products clearly demonstrating that there is a market for energy efficient technologies, design and a requirement for small farms within communities.
The Expo will feature a large range of products, services, and information, along with activities on a variety of sustainability and green living topics. Expo attractions will include talks, displays, food, entertainment, demonstrations, interactive product displays, artworks, exhibits, designs, multimedia and activities for children.
Wintersun Festival
The Wintersun Festival is an annual Retro Nostalgia Festival featuring cars, music and lifestyle of the period 1940-1970.
Celebrating 25 years as an Australian Festival, Wintersun Coffs Harbour will include more than 80 bands and performers, roller derby, car shows, street parade, fashion shows and lots of fun.
