Caloundra International ATP Challenger

All the International players love playing in Caloundra with over 80 players from 21 different countries competing in the recent 2011 Caloundra International Challenger, because it was easily accessible with both Brisbane International and Sunshine Coast airports within an hours' drive, with tournament accommodation right on the beach and great weather. Tennis Australia and Caloundra International officials decided for the very first time to host an ATP Challenger "Official Draw" on the beach. Bulcock Beach was a picture perfect location and was a special moment for wild card entry Thomas Muster (former world No.One) who said "he was happy to get an entry into his first ever Tennis Tournament on the Sunshine Coast tournament despite being a resident for close to 10 years."

Race Five of the Gatorade Queensland Tri Series - the action happens again at Golden Beach, Caloundra at the Caloundra Triathlon. Get your friends, family and work-mates together and get involved! The event includes: Queensland Tri Series Triathlon: 400 metre swim, 15 kilometre cycle, four kilometre run. Enticer: 200 metre swim, five kilometre cycle, two kilometre run. The Courier-Mail Kool Kids Triathlon: 100 metre swim, two kilometre cycle, 400 metre run .

The Kings of the Coast Ocean Swim Festival - Caloundra

Whether you're a competitive swimmer or a weekend warrior, the Kings of the Coast Ocean Swim Festival is your chance to conquer iconic open water distances in one big weekend of surf, sand and swimming in Caloundra. The Festival begins with the new 1500 metre Olympic Relay - a solo, pairs and teams event that promises action a-plenty for both swimmers and spectators alike. Following the Relay, a free 300 metre Kidz Dash will also be held. On Sunday, test your mettle in the ultimate open water challenge - a 3.8 kilometre ironman distance swim from Moffat Beach to Kings Beach. If you competed as part of a team in Saturday's Olympic Relay, step up in distance and set your sights on Sunday's one kilometre Short Course at Kings Beach. No matter what your swimming ability, your next challenge awaits at the Kings of the Coast Ocean Swim Festival.
