Agro Trend Field Days

The Rotary Club of Bundaberg will conduct their annual Agro-Trend Field Days one of Australia’s longest running field days in April. Agro-Trend offers exhibitors of some 30 plus industries, the opportunity to showcase their latest innovations for the thousands of patrons who attend each year. Industries generally represented are sugar, horticulture, irrigation, machinery, motor vehicles, trucks, livestock, aquaculture, agricultural supplies, rain water tanks, boats, saw mills, arts, crafts, rural software, education, health and lifestyle choices to name a few. There will be a rodeo held which should provide thrills and spills for the riders and a lot of entertainment for the crowd plus for the first time there will be a Team Penning and Cutting Challenge along with the traditional Working Cattle Dogs Trials.

Bundaberg Chinese New Year Celebrations

Celebrate the Year of the Dragon at this year’s Bundaberg Regional Council’s Chinese New Year with a flurry of light, colour and entertainment. Highlights will include Lion and Dragon dancing, stalls, food, workshops, displays and a full program of entertainment, with the night culminating in an amazing display of fireworks.

Bundaberg Gem and Mineral Society Incorporated presents Gemboree

Gemboree is the National Gem and Mineral Show which is held at Easter, hosted in a different state each year on rotation. The main aim of this event is to promote and foster a continued interest in all facets of the lapidary arts. Next year the Gemboree will be hosted by the Bundaberg Gem and Mineral Society Incorporated which is a member of the Queensland Gem Clubs Association. Lapidary traders from all around Australia, along with the well known gem cutting company, Lambert Industries, will have on offer a wide variety of goods for sale including precious stones, semi- precious stones, fossils, minerals, crystals, jewellery and lapidary supplies and machinery. This event attracts ‘rock hounds’ from all around Australia, many of whom will camp onsite to enjoy all the activities on offer.

Bundaberg Quilt Exhibition

The Bundaberg Quilters will be celebrating 25 years as a group and this special exhibition will include more than 250 quilts, traditional and contemporary that have not been shown before, a quilt challenge to be voted on by visitors, works by the Textile Art Group as well as market stalls of handmade articles and trader’s stalls. There will be a guest quilter who will demonstrate her work during the exhibition plus demonstrations of traditional and contemporary methods. Light refreshments will be available at a reasonable cost and all the family are invited to come along and enjoy the excellent range of quilts that will be on display.

Bundaberg Race Club

The Bundaberg Race Club will be holding their monthly meeting shortly so get ready to glam up for a great day out at the races. The track is sand and as the racing is very competitive it will be an exciting day out for all. There is a full Tote facility, as well as a good bookmaker ring with SKY racing coverage of all interstate meetings, plus a full bar and kitchen facilities are available for a great day out.

Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery Presents Cabinets Of Curiosity Or Wunderkammern

Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery presents Cabinets of Curiosity or Wunderkammern, these were the sixteenth and seventeenth century personal collections of wealthy aristocratic men. These collections were often compiled during their grand tours of Europe, or through their connection to the discovery and conquest of the new world. These cabinets were works of art within themselves, displaying not only beautiful and rare objects, but also the strange, primitive or curious. Cabinets of Curiosity features invited, local artists interpretation of a modern day cabinet of curiosities, by presenting to gallery visitors their own personal collections of items. The artists who contributed to this exhibition are Alice McLaughlin, Ann Grocott, Catherine McCue Boes, Caryl Plant, Christine Turner, Clinton Cross, Jennifer McDuff, Jenny Gilbertson, Jo Williams and Sue Hutton.

Bundaberg Ring Road Run

The Ring Road Run is an annual event which is scheduled on the Sunday of the Queen’s Birthday weekend. This long weekend provides people all over Australia the opportunity to visit the Bundaberg region and participate in a running event while enjoying the wonderful activities Bundaberg has to offer – visit Mon Repos Conservation Park, taste test at Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, tour the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, learn history at Hinkler Hall of Aviation and the Bundaberg Railway Museum or just enjoy a lazy day at one of the beaches surrounding the coast of Bundaberg. The Ring Road Run will take advantage of the pristine running foundation along the Bundaberg Ring Road with the start and finish of the race at St Luke’s Anglican School, and you can walk or run - the main idea is to have fun, get some exercise and help raise money for some worthy charities.

Bundy Easter Roundup

In early April next year the Bundy Easter Roundup will be on again presented by the Bundaberg Country Music Club Incorporated. Bring the caravan and camp onsite so you don’t miss any of the entertainment which includes a talent quest (26 sections) with Juvenile, Golden Oldies, as well as male and female vocalists, plus food and drinks will be available onsite. Friday night sit back and be entertained by Country Gospel with a Judges Variety Concert on Saturday night. There are camping sites both powered and without power available and the gates will be open on the day before the concert.

Bundys Aussie Country Muster

Bundy’s Aussie Country Muster is on again next year with a whole week of live Country Music, family entertainment at its best. There will be concerts by local artists, bands and invited professional guest artists featuring daily Walk up Entertainment with Rocket and Ally. An old time dance will be held on Wednesday night and a Variety Concert by selected guest artists on Thursday and Friday nights. On Sunday morning enjoy Bush poetry by leading professionals and walk up poets at Poet’s Breakfast followed by Gospel Hour. Bring the camping gear along as there are great facilities at the site and it is close to a major shopping complex. There will be tea, coffee, soft drinks, snacks and some meals will be available also make sure to bring a chair or rug for comfort. Please be aware that this event will be a glass free area.

Catholic Schools Race Day

The annual Catholic Schools Race Day will be held in March and patrons will be able to enjoy a day of entertainment and atmosphere where 'glitz and glamour' will reign supreme. Featuring five local races on the Race Day Program, the afternoon will also include a fashion parade by Hotline Boutique as well as a parade of jewellery, courtesy of Wallace Bishop Jewellers. The ladies 'Fashions on the Field', 'Best Dressed Gentleman' and The 'Best Hat' winner will be awarded generous prizes on the day from various sponsors. Ticket price to the Marquee Party includes entrance to the racecourse, two free drinks, finger food and free bus back into town. A great day is assured and everyone is most welcome.

Moncrieff Theatre Presents Busting Out

It's an uplifting celebration of bouncy songs, wobbly jokes, thigh-slapping sketches, and of course, practical demonstrations of the fascinating lesser-known uses of your drooping assets.

Moncrieff Theatre Presents Men In Pink Tights

Making their world premiere in Australia, Les Ballets Eloelle is bringing their new production Men in Pink Tights, the most spectacular, talented and hilarious all-male comedy ballet ever to the Moncrieff Theatre in Bundaberg. From the thrilling pirouettes of the male dancers with brilliant choreography to the side splitting humour, the show is designed for the young and old. With an array of the best international professional male ballet dancers from 13 nations, Les Ballets Elolle personifies the elemental parody of both classic and present-day ballet.

Moncrieff Theatre Presents The Beetles, Creedence Clearwater Revival And Venus Experience

Coming to Bundaberg next year is a triple bill of great rock'n'roll featuring classic Creedence, hailed as the best Creedence Clearwater Revival in Australia, the audience is sure to feel like they are at a Creedence Clearwater Revival concert with all the favourite hits. The Beetles will bring back the sounds of the sixties, with the show based on the early Beatles, and contains all the hits that are well known and loved from The Fab Four in their heyday. Finally to top it all off, The Venus Experience will pay tribute to the great female rock goddesses like Pat Benatar, Blondie, The Pretenders and many more. A three shows in one night experience, not to be missed!

Moncrieff Theatre Presents The International Mini Bike Stunt Team

The International Mini Bike Stunt Team will be in Bundaberg for one afternoon only with Big Stunts, Little Bikes and a spectacular, action packed comedy circus stunt show. This is a children’s show but will be enjoyed by the adults as well. Watch M.C Scoot, Pyro Sparks and Stunt Man Jim perform brand new stunts as well as all the old favourites from Australia’s Got Talent, Totally Wild and Sunrise. This show is big on audience participation, so come prepared to yell and cheer and maybe even perform a stunt yourself! Be prepared for the mind blowing, highly skilled circus stunts: plus highly skilled fire and chainsaw juggling and of course, unique bikes, trikes and unicycles of all shapes and sizes, including the world's tallest fire unicycles.

Moore Park Beach Annual Festival Of Arts

Moore Park Beach Festival of Arts is an event that includes a temporary gallery in the Community Hall, last year there were over 200 entries and every year it gets bigger. Children's entertainment includes Indigenous hands on activities, cultural dancing, food stalls, craft stalls, camel rides, sand sculpting and giant kites. Beach activities include miniature horses, drum making and much more. The festival commences on Friday with school bands playing, and the official opening ceremony is held at a later time. The Arts judging will commence on Friday after midday. There will be a free raffle with visitors providing their name and address; this is beside a Festival raffle. The Festival is held over four separate interconnecting areas, Community Hall, Bi-Centennial oval, Bob Nielsen Park and the beach.

Shalom Sunday Markets

Shalom Sunday Markets are the biggest and best market in the area. There are 200 stalls operating every Sunday morning where you can enjoy breakfast, morning tea, a barbecue plus cold drinks as well as coffee and tea from the canteen. For locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables, great craft, jewellery, preloved clothes, garage sales, plants and gardening supplies this is the place to be. Also on offer are books, fashion dresses, massage, children’s clothes, donuts, Snow Cones and the Laughing Clowns. The men have not been forgotten as there is a great variety of tools for them to check out and, we stand by our motto “Fill a bigger bag for less" as we have the best market in the area.

Wide Bay Australia International Airshow

The Wide Bay Australia International Air Show is a two day extravaganza for aviation enthusiasts featuring aircraft from a bygone era, including aircraft from WWII, right up to the present day. Held on Saturday and Sunday both days are devoted to aerobatic and other displays of aircraft from pre-war through to the latest RAAF aircraft such as the Super Hornet. The Air Show also features innovative ground acts such as Jet Trucks and other exciting displays and also present visitors with the opportunity to get up "close and personal" with Warbirds and their pilots. There will be food and drink available and various stalls will be available on site. Make sure to take sunscreen, a hat, water and a fold up chair so that you are comfortable while watching this amazing show.
