Applause Street Theatre and Buskers Festival

The Applause Festival brings entertainment to the people. There is no other form of artistic expression that is more diverse, action orientated, spontaneous or accessible. The world may be a stage, but Dean Street Albury is their audience, drawing, rewarding, reacting and applauding.
There is not cost, the entertainment is free, we only request that you show your appreciation by contributing to the buskers hat during or at the end of the show.

Consisting of two stages - qualification round and finals. Acts will be provided with a location and time for their performance during the day. There is no appearance fee for acts, however busking is encouraged. All acts that appear in the finals will receive prize money.
Flix in the Stix Albury

The 2012 Optus Flix in the Stix tour returns to Albury in March. Under the stars at Albury's Botanic Gardens, Flix combines the screening of its collection of award winning short films with music from the highly acclaimed Australian singer songwriter, James Reyne performing live. Also featuring special guest and much celebrated Australian bush poet, Peter Mace. So gather together your family and friends, pack a picnic and come along for a unique night out at Albury's Botanic Gardens.
The Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup Carnival

The Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup Carnival is the icon event for the city of Albury and clearly established as the premier country racing carnival in NSW.
Held over two days in March the carnival offers prize money of $480,000 with the feature event the Listed Albury Gold Cup worth $170,000.
The Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup Carnival is not just about the racing as it has developed into the biggest fashion and social event on the border highlighted by Myer Fashions on the Field with $20,000 in prizes up for grabs.
Hospitality Marquees line the length of the straight and are also located in the centre of course with many visitors to Albury enjoying the party atmosphere throughout the racecourse.
