Queensland Open Womens Softball Championships

Softball in the Rockhampton Region continues to go from strength to strength with the announcement from Rockhampton Regional Council and Softball Queensland that the Open Women's State Championship will be held in Rockhampton next year. The event will bring over 240 participants from softball associations throughout Queensland to compete for one of the three titles on offer including the Queensland Cup, Open Championship and President's Cup. Council's Sport and Recreation Committee Chair, Councillor Cherie Rutherford said Council is proud to support not only grassroots softball in the Region but also to assist in attracting state championships to the Region.
