The Sydney International Piano Competition of Australia is internationally recognised as one of the world’s great piano competitions for up and coming pianists both individually and as soloists with orchestras throughout the world. 36 are selected from live auditions and the prizewinners are announced on the evening of Saturday, 21 July 2012 in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. As well as the cash prize there are concerts throughout Australia and also in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, Korea, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
