Description
The annual Hervey Bay Triathlon is open to, and appeals to, all levels of athletic ability with 26 individual and six team categories - while the event boasts over AUD25,000 in prizes it still provides a friendly and enjoyable multisports experiance for competitors from first-timer's to Olympians. The course for the triathlon features a 1.5 kilometre swim in the pristine waters of Hervey Bay, followed by two loops of a scenic 20 kilometre beachside cycle course and concluding with a flat and shady 10 kilometre run along the foreshore bikepath. Supporting events include the 3.4 kilometre Pier to Pub Swim Ocean Swim and a MultiSports expo.
