Description
A breathtaking look at the art and science of collecting. The Butterfly Man of Kuranda is a spectacular and historic insect exhibition showcasing the Museum's F.P. and A.P. Dodd Collection of Tropical Insects from Australia and New Guinea. The exhibition focuses on 28 beautifully-arranged showcases of butterflies, beetles and moths dating from 1917 through to the 1960s. The brilliant colours and delicate forms of the insects on display give insight into the unique creatures that fill our rainforests, woodlands and urban areas and highlight Queensland's biodiversity. The museum is open 9.30am to 5.00 daily for you to view this exhibition.
