Every city in the world has distinct pockets of colour, culture and character. London has Covent Garden, Paris has Montmartre, New York has Time Square and out of Brisbane’s many precincts - one stands out from the crowd - Caxton Street - and Caxton Street will be transformed into Queensland’s biggest street party! 16 years ago, the Caxton Street Festival had humble beginnings with a few little jazz bands and a couple of food tents. Fast forward to 2010 an estimated 12,000 people will be sampling a taste of life in one of Australia’s most historical precincts and treating their palettes to delicious seafood, fine wines and sharing a day under the Autumn sun while enjoying the diverse array of musical talent that is sure to keep every festival goer happy – this is how to live it up!
