Hobart - Getting around

Being a relatively small city and simple laid out, Hobart is easy to get around.  The city streets, many of which are one way, form a grid pattern around the Elizabeth Street Mall home to most of the tourist and travel agencies.  There is a bus shuttle between the airport and the city centre.

The local bus service operated by Metro is regular and has a user-friendly timetable.  Day Rover tickets operate during off-peak hours and all day at weekends. Alternatively, you could hire a bike. Ferries run between Franklin Wharf and tourist spots around the harbour.
