Kwazulu-Natal - Destination Kwazulu/Natal Province

Kwazuluz/Natal is at the heart of wildlife country. There are many game parks and nature reserves where you can see those majestic animals that Africa is renowned for. You will also be amazed at the cultural diversity in KwaZulu-Natal. Not only is it home to the Zulu nation but many other African, European, and Asian people.

Warner Beach is a seaside resort on the south coast before Durban. It has a real village atmosphere and friendly people. The warm Indian Ocean offers surf and diving activities.

Durban is a holiday-makers dream. The water is lovely and warm all year round in this sub-tropical city. The summer weather is very humid and you will see spectacular thunderstorms. There is a busy, vibrant atmosphere in Durban and there is heaps to do. A thriving art and music scene is abundant - the people here really know how to party!

 

North of Durban is the popular stretch of coastline called the Dolphin Coast, and here you will find the seaside village of Ballito. Nestled further north in the Zululand hills are the friendly rural towns of Eshowe and Gingindlovu.

Winterton is a pretty town situated in the foothills of the Cathedral Peak area. It is well known for its famous Drakensberg Boy's Choir which has a broad repertoire from classical to African songs.

The busy town of Mtubatuba is the stop for St Lucia, an area known for its crocodiles and hippos. About 30 kilometres south of Mtubatuba is the lush area of Kwambonambi which makes a great base for travellers wishing to explore Northern Zululand and Hluhluwe. Hluhluwe has two fantastic game reserves established in 1897 - Hluhluwe and Umfolozi.
