Corrientes Avenue is the centre of Buenos Aires with plenty of cinemas, theatre shows and pizzerias lively until the early hours. If you need a little retail therapy head to Florida Street and Santa Fe Avenue. On Sundays the place to be is San Pedro Telmo Fair markets where you will find a great range of arts and crafts. The Paza Dorrego is the hub of the San Telmo Markets bustling with antique shops and cafes. Recoleta is where you will find the grave of Eva Peron. If you only have one day in Buenos Aires, don't miss Paza de Mayo, the political core of Argentina. It is surrounded by symbolic buildings such as the Cabildo, the Pink House, the Cathedral, and the Casa Rosada the place where most of Evita's speeches took place. Amongst the 100+ museums you can visit, there is the National Historic Museum which exhibits Pre-Colombian, Colonial and antique military works. At the National Fine Arts Museum, located in Recoleta, is a beautiful collection of Argentine and European paintings.
